Abstract

This article compares O‘tkir Hoshimov’s lyrical Uzbek novella Dunyoning ishlari and Roald Dahl’s humorous memoir Boy: Tales of Childhood, exploring how memory reconstructs childhood. Through maternal light and moonlit lullabies, Hoshimov heals loss; through pranks and sharp wit, Dahl defies pain, revealing memory’s universal yet culturally distinct language.
